Hi all,

Due to some of our members (and in particular some of our younger members) being sent offensive spam links via the PM system, I have taken the decision to deactivate Private Messaging for the moment. This is to make the spam-bots back off once they realise there isn't the feature to use, and also to prevent general misuse of the PM system and to protect all our members from offensive links.

This will be trialled for the next two weeks to see how it goes. I understand that some of you may use the PM system as a general communicative tool and I would ask that you use the Friendship Chat for this purpose, at least whilst PM is deactivated here.

I will let you all know if the decisions to deactivate PM-ing becomes permanent, or whether we can revert back to the system once the level of spam-bots have reduced.
