Are You My Friend? - James Brinkworth
Tomorrow - Renee Franklin
"Here's my friendship poetry effort. I'm new to this writing lark so
forgive me if it's quite simplistic. I'd be delighted to have you put
this on your friendship page."
ARE YOU MY FRIEND?
Will you be there when I'm down,
Will you laugh when I laugh,
Will you discuss those painful things,
Will you say the right thing,
Will you understand me when I say,
If you'll do these things for me,
Then truly you are my friend,
"This is a poem a friend wrote to me. She is like a little
sister to me & I love her to death." - Timothy Jones
TOMORROW
In my darkest hour...
In my trials and my tribulations?
Through my fear
Through my joy and sorrow

And catch me when I fall?
Will you hold me when I need
To feel the warmth of your touch?
And cry when I cry?
Will you let me rant and rave,
When I need to let off steam?
That you'd rather not think about?
Like the times we've hurt each other,
And promised would never do so again?
When all I've heard is the wrong?
And tell me soothing words,
That make the pain I feel subside?
"I can't see you now, go away"?
Will you come back when I call,
As if nothing happened at all?
And keep smiling all the way.
If you'll be with me through the bad times,
As well as the good.
My pal, my mate and my confidante.
And that means so much to me.
I thank you dearly, for being there,
You, My Friend.

In my deepest despair...
Will you still care?
Will you be there?
Through all doubts and frustrations?
In my violence...
And my turbulence?
And my confessions?
In my anguish...
And my pain?
In the promise of another tomorrow
I will never let you part
For you, are always in my heart.
